Trail:
The trail is a mixture of single track, edges of grass fields and tow path (cinder footing). Other than along the tow path the terrain is generally rolling with some rocky sections.
The 50 milers will 3 loops (aXX miles; XX miles; XX miles). The 65 milers will do the XX loop twice. Foot protection is highly recommended. For both distances the first vet check will be away. Ride management will take yourgear if you do not have crew. The 50 milers will have one additional vet check at base camp and the 65 milers will have two additionalvetchecks at base camp.
There is no crewing on trail but there will be hospitality/support stops for the ultramarathon runners with foodand water available for riders too. It will be mandatory to wear some orange if you are riding or running on the trails since it will be hunting season and the trail will cross some private property.
Trail lengths remain to be determined due to trail damage sustained by hurricane Ida.
Camp:
Camp is set up in a large field with primitive camping only.
Dogs must remain leashed at all times. A food truck will be available at base camp.
There are also restaurants and convenience stores located less than 2 miles away for food, ice, etc.
Housekeeping: Please take your garbage with you. You can scatter your hay and manure in the field.
