Registration begins at 2 pm on Friday.
Vetting 3:30-5:30 pm on Friday. May also vet in the morning of the ride.
Terrain: Trails are mostly packed sand forest roads with a mixture of forestry gravel roads. May be sections of water during a wet year. Hoof protection is recommended.
Awards: Completion for all, for the 25/50 mile- top 10, first place, best condition
Camp: Primitive, with plenty of water for horses. Bring your own human drinking water.
Generators must be turned off between 9:30 pm and 5 am, unless parked in remote parking area.
Meal: All riders and crews are welcome to join- Fried Chicken and green beans will provided at 6 pm on Friday. Please bring a side dish. Ride meeting following meal.
Directions: From the North: I-75 to exit # 382, Turn south (right) towards
Williston, go 16.5 miles to stop sign and turn left, continue on 121/ US 41. Go to
Stoplight, turn right, continue on 121. Go to stoplight- turn left, continue on 121.
Go to next stop light - turn right and continue on 121 another 16 miles. Turn left on CR 337, go 6 miles- Tidewater trailhead entrance will be on your left.
From the South: I-75 to exit # 341, Belleville/Dunnellon. Turn left on CR 484
toward Dunnellon. In Dunnellon, cross Hwy 41 at light and go to stop sign and turn right, continue on CR 40. Go another 4 miles and turn right on CR 336. Go 5.6 miles and turn right on 337, go ¼ mile and turn right onto Saddle Pen Road, into the Tidewater trailhead entrance.
